Unfortunately, I have gotten too much practice at it. But it could be worse...

Please chime in here man. This one is just too close.
istbenz reporting in alive and well sucks about that accident though

Had a GREAT time yesterday and really enjoyed meeting a few of the local inmates Thanks for taking us on some great roads Cody

The dual-sport ninja did a great job and I was quite happy with it's dirt/gravel ability. I'll def be hittin some more of those roads when I get a chance-- you guys just have to remember not to tell the ninja that it isn't a KLR though

It's good to see a dualsport group forming in this area for rides. I really enjoyed the last one, sorry to miss this one. I went out Saturday after finishing up some yard work and didn't get back home until 9:30 pm.

I found one little two-track near the Trace that I won't be riding through again until the dead of winter. Damn ticks and chiggers have eaten me up. I pulled a tick off the back of my hand and now it is all red, swollen and oozing pus. Gonna have to get some antibiotics into that one.

I made a run down Old Mill Creek Road in Hickman County. It's still in bad shape and one of the creek crossings was deep enough to flood the motor. I thought I was screwed for a while there but there was no water in the air box and it started right back up. I think I'll drop the oil anyway and have a look.

I stopped at Puckett's for gas on the way home and grabbed a peach cobbler and drink. Some dude was playing the guitar and the place was packed. When I went to settle up my tab, it was $22!!!! That did not include the gas - just cobbler, drink and an extra $10 for the tunes. Not cool.

I'll keep an eye out for the next ride. See you then.

WTF!! yea thats not cool at all @ $22dollars ..(i thank i would have to call judgment on that case)

Yes sir !, hope to see you on the next ride. But it looks like its gona be a wile befour they get alot of them roads back open. A WORD of CAUTION... on or near the trace.....as one that has growed up here all my life i will tell ya. Most of the roads off the trace are for them damn HORSES !!! i got busted a few times for rideing on them as a kid. (them park rangers dont play at all) and alot of them are not marked as so. Man they got some damn good trails, roads, and beautiful 2 tracks all dedicated for the horse freaks!. get a bike on them is a fed-offence i found out the hard way.

But the last two times,,,they couldnt catch me !!

Heh heh heh....I have a buddy that lives adjacent to the trace up by 96. Early this spring we tought "wonder if we can make it down to Leipers Fork if we just ride the woods and stay about 30 feet in them. About an hour later out we popped out on old 96, rode into town, had a fried pie and rode the woods back home. That was a cool ride I tell ya......glad we didn't get caught

Yes. I have been following this. Pretty neat.
And OF COURSE one of those characters is on a bumble-bee F800GS. A SUPERB choice for the job at hand (I must say).

I would gladly trade a "Hero Blue" Buell for a "Bumble-bee" F800GS, any takers? I'll even throw in a spare tire, plug kit, and compressor!

Ha! Yours is a FINE machine. Ya just can't bring a knife to a gun-fight (talking about super-sticky Pilot Powers on chunky and pointy gravel roads).
Sides, I already have a compressor...and plugs'll do me NO good.

I sure wish BMW would have rims for this bike like the R GS. Spokes AND tubeless.
Tubed tires are fine, just more of a PITA to trail/road repair.

Here's a tip for ya. You're down to ONE tire plug. Get a batch of new ones.
