I sure wish BMW would have rims for this bike like the R GS. Spokes AND tubeless.
Tubed tires are fine, just more of a PITA to trail/road repair.

Here's a tip for ya. You're down to ONE tire plug. Get a batch of new ones.

He is telling ya right stanley..(A.K.A..plugger) cool nick name.

He is so gona kick my ass for that one.

I wonder if Slime sells stock? I might need to invest!
I really do like the bike, just wish there was more of a selection of tires for DS riding. The Pilots are MUCHO! sticky on the asphalt, and I am really not doing too bad on the mileage -- if I stay off gravel roads! Have you guys heard any word on the new Pirelli Scorpion Trails? I can get them for it, but I haven't heard anything from someone riding them. Let me know if you have other suggestions in a 180/55-17.

Neither of those will fit the Buell. There in lies the problem.

i posted this pic earlier, but it won't hurt again i suppose. the f800gs is running scorpion trails and he did alright, though you can see they don't like mud very much.

Sorry it took so long to get my pics posted. I have been very busy every day since the ride. Jen and I had a great time. Thanks for tolerating my meandering around. I knew the area I wanted to explore, but hadn't committed the roads to memory.

Here's Stan doing what he does best.

And the infamous KLR 600R.

And a shot of the group in action. Jen took this one blind. Just pointed the camera back over her shoulder and snapped it.

See you all on 20th for some hardcore dirt road riding :)

I am just passing along some info I saw today on Sloans Motorcycle website.
They are having a dual sport ride Sun June 13th leaving from Pucketts store and doing the gravel dirt roads ride around the area. I had other business when I called them and was told they are trying to attract riders together. no fees involved when I asked. I may try to be there if able. I am busy looking on the net for the hard core stuff Cody has been watching.

fairly certain that the guys from sloans are going on the ride offerred by dualsporttn.com. unless they are covering the fee for anyone that goes or have made other arrangements there is usually a fee for those rides.

puckett's at 9am.

BMWBLAKE has some good info there.
I was curious and wanted to be sure for anyones benefit since I started the story. I just called Dual Spot TN and spoke to Dave and he also confirmed that the ride is FREE and a open invitation. He will be glad to meet any of us that show up. enjoy as you like and I do want to make the ride.

That is all I know about this , but it sounds like nice oppurtunity to ride and meet up with some other folks.

I will be around for the 20th and ready to ride..........
