KTM would have needed 8 oil changes and a valve check on this trip.
DRZ just needed gas. All day, every day for a week without a complaint.

I also rode 600 miles to West Virginia one day, with Rob Feature chasing me on his F650, then back again a couple days later. Rode it to Missouri for a rally once, and another in eastern Kentucky. Did the Six Days of Michigan with it, and a very similar CannonTrek (1100 miles of dirt in 3.5 days). If you stay off the interstates it is a smooth, fun ride. There is a reason they are so popular.

Oh, and I also broke my leg on it without damaging it in any way.

I've been lurking in this thread for a couple months now. I haven't ridden with anyone here yet, though I recently met Carl (TDM Rider) at work. I just purchased this today. I'll be picking it Saturday and am looking forward to meeting and riding with everyone.

1) Beautiful !!

2) What do you do for a living - and how do I get there on the fast-track ...

3) Are you looking to adopt, and would you let your new son ride that new bike!?

There several out there. The person I bought this from also has an '09 for sale. Maybe you should drive down to Birmingham with me Saturday.
