i had heard that there was a "new" place that had opened. It's not the Coble store we all know, but a new place maybe two or three buildings down the road.

After a few more cups of coffee, and further deep thought I think it's called Tin Roof Store?

I am pretty sure it's on Hwy 438

Hay Doug If it will run thats a good deal but sounds a little fishy. Who would go thru all that work and money and not ride it at all.

I left a message.

Google turned up this bike (using the phone #) for sale for $2k listed on another site. That # also shows up with some other auto stuff, could be the bike just needs to be out of the garage. It may be a '00 or '01, not sure, but the rear fender looks like it might be "old" yellow, or the other plastic is Acerbis. Lots of good parts, but the 454 kit may be the 434 kit. Carb vent line hanging out, someone has had the carb out and got pissed off putting it back. Great pipe, big tank, good tires.

I have brought a few DRZ's back from the grave, none of them had this much good stuff going for it.

Troy is a DRZ Guru and i'm sure he can fix her up. Probably needs some needle and jet adj with that big bore kit and after a couple trys they said the hell with it.

I had a 501 Husaberg that took seven times taking the carb off and adjusting before getting it right.

Yeah, you are probably right. If the price is true, and the bike is complete, that seems like a hell of a deal to me.
