Heads up for anyone considering getting some new gear.

CycleGear recently rolled out their own line of Adventure gear, and it's getting some pretty good reviews. I've not seen it myself yet, but I got a Typhoon jacket recently that is their previous generation stuff, and I'm really happy with it.

Anyway, the stuff has been on sale on and off for the last 2-3 months, and more stuff is added each month. I just saw that everything is "full price" again, but they are running a killer deal right now.

Buy the jacket

http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product...ket/web1011534

at full price, $399, and get the helmet, gloves, and pants for free. The jacket, gloves, and pants at full price is $620 more. So, basically, get $1020 worth of gear for $400.

Most of this stuff will go 50% off sometime in the coming months, I'm sure, as it often does, but this is still a bigger savings.

Something to consider, you have until Jan 30th to buy.

Been up to their store in Madison a couple times. The owner is awesome and spends a lot of time with the customers.
They also have an impressive stock of parts - OEM type stuff....fuel/mix screws, carb parts, tons of chemicals. AND, they're open 7 days a week.....something, some day, our local OEM bike shops will get the hang of!

Just heard NATRA was awarded an AMA adventure ride in May at Westpoint! Look it up on the AMA website.

Huh . . . . that's interesting.

It is in fact listed as a separate event from the national enduro they hold there.
Curious to see what they are going to try and put together.
I've rode / ridden at WP a lot. I think I would think twice about riding a 650+ class bike there.

Quick notice....

Looks like a few of us will be heading to LBL Sunday. It will be sloppy in spots, the big bikes would be a handful. May try to explore some of the dead end roads. No agenda set, everyone welcome. (except those who expressly dislike giving in to the detrimental effects of gravity ..... )

Just kidding, JM, you are welcome also. We need someone to make fun of.

High of 45, but sunny..... should be really similar to the day we rode out to see the crashed bridge. You probably better bring the Street Glide.

Talked to some of the club guys.
Their thought is to try and put together some chert / dirt back roads for a two day ride.
First day is from Westpoint to Waterloo, MS and back.
Second day they are still trying to figure out. I might put a Hickman route together for them.
