Jam the end of a broomstick in the stock exhaust, drill a 1/4 pilot hole in the center and take a 2 1/8" holesaw and cut the core out of that stock muffler. If you don't have a holesaw, I'll bring one tomorrow. Then screw a stainless shower strainer over the hole. Instant spark arrestor, weight reduction, and better throttle reponse. Total cost: $1.89.

Thanks Matt, I read about that a little while ago. I've got a number of hole saws, I think I'm cool on that front.
See you in the morning. |

Great day of riding! It was nice meeting Josh, Barry & Jed. We'll do it again after it dries up a bit. That was the most mud I've ridden, in & a long time. I consider myself lucky that I didn't flop on my a$$ under the conditions. The new tires deffinatly helped, no way I could have ridden todays route with my old street tires. Lot's of fun & nobody hurt.

Psychem, Threadkiller and I rode out of Erin this morning. By the time we returned to the Piggly Wiggly parking lot, we had clocked on right at 140 miles. Some gravel, some pavement, some great new pavement - good riding and lots of new-to-me roads.
The only problem I have is that my rear tire is pretty much toast and down to the wear bars. I was riding on a slick all day long except when I was laid over in the turns. Sorry about me not checking my routes after the supposed upload. For winging the whole day's ride, I'd say we stayed on a fair amount of gravel. |
