For the record

This rain-every-week-end weather pattern is a load of mother truckin cat turds. I'm going out anyway.

Good attitude to take! I rode through over 3 hours of the monsoon rains of last weekend. Rode another 2 hours of rain again today. Several hundred miles of rain the first weekend of May, too. I don't let the wet stuff slow me down much - places to go & things to do. Good gear helps make it more comfortable but I get wet in the shower every day anyway. What's another wet spot?

Better to get out and ride than sit at home. Good for the soul....next thing you guys will complain about is the heat. Get a wet vest and deal with the temps or sit at home and complain. Just say "Fuck it!" and ride no matter what the weather is and life will be better.

We were out last weekend too....windy as crap but hardly got wet for the first 5 hours of riding....it was a great ride. Another advantage of a shaft drive Yamaha.....no worry about the chain

I'd be riding right now if I wasn't stuck behind this darn desk today.

Worry about the chain? In the rain? Sounds insane.

I know people that freak out if it starts raining when they're out riding, go straight home and clean their chains.

Yeah, that's a bit much. I just look for the next water crossing to clean it.

Actually the sun came out and I got in a short run. Since I was riding alone I kept it short.

I took a little ride up to the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia this weekend. 1500 mile round trip over 4 days, just got back about 11 pm tonight. It's great to have a dual sport with legs!

This is the 2000 I bought, before Slopez turned me on to the 2006. He told me about it while I was on the way for the 2000.
