This was to be the year I did it..... My bike is still down, not 100% sure when the parts will get here (but they are on the way, so hopefully soon). I decided to register yesterday morning as on Sunday it said there were only 14 openings left. They updated the site late Sunday/early Monday, and it's full now.

The LBL200 is the only true dirt bike ride that I do these days.

I grew up riding real single track at Turkey Bay, Linton Bottoms, with a few enduros and hare scrambles here and there. This was pre ATV, and even before 3 wheelers became sport machines. The opportunity to ride the trails that remind me so much of the trails from 30-40 years ago cannot be passed up.

....I will be there, and will go to all I can from now on...

Sandalscout...you should show up anyway. I've ridden the LBL200 for 10 years of their 25(26) events. Here's why: 1) There are usually some "No Shows" or late cancellations which would open riding slots for the event. 2) I have witnessed riders that just showed up at the last minute on Friday night registration or early Saturday morning be allowed to ride the event. 3) The promoters for this event are good people and have been friends of mine since way back...Jesse never turns a dollar away. I've never seen anyone actually count the number of bikes that leave out on Sat/Sun mornings.
Looks like the route will be dusty in most places this year unless the area gets some rain before the event. I've ridden it twice on my old '93 KLR650, once solo and once with my 10 year old son. It's more fun-ner on a lighter D/S but after having read your different postings on this website, I'm sure you can handle it on your 650 too.

I've heard others suggest this in years past. I may just roll up there on Friday night and talk to Jesse and see what happens! Finger's Crossed, I'll have the bike back together this week and be testing it out this weekend. Thanks for the heads up!

I didn't think I'd have the weekend free on the 7th & 8th but, it looks like now I do. I will probably ride up there & see if this would work for me as well. If they tell us to "get lost"; then maybe we could hit some gravel in one end or the other of LBL? I've also got a new "moderate sized" riding area in Benton Co., if you care to ride something other than LBL gravel.

That sounds like a plan!

Getting the Dragon Slayer ready for the weekend. I might take Friday off and get a leg up on IHF.

Oh and one question: besides IHF are there girls aloud in the hot tub

Made it to Gunnison, CO and well, my ride has turned into an adventure.

Nothing a handful of washers and a couple nuts can't fix temporarily.

You are 100% correct. And I know you'll keep the axle tight.

Will you make it back for the LBL200?
