I would bring that Sherco. You could call it "dual sport" riding but only b/c we have to take a few back-road connectors. If we ride some gulfs (which we will) anything with mirrors and blinkers is pretty much guaranteed to get tore up. We've had lots of un-tagged bikes ride there and have never had a problem.
My KLX already has the mirrors and blinkers removed :) (didn't break them off either; let's call it preemptive repair). That said I'm loving the Sherco right now and have only had it out twice and both times were cut short by either limping someone home or doing trail work, so not a full day on it.

That said it does burn through fuel fast and I don't have the large tank (yet) or any type of gas meter/reserve/low-fuel light, so that might be an issue... I guess it depends how long the runs are between fuel. I've gone 30-40 hard miles on a tank but it ran out idling after I brought it home and washed it.

BTW - I'd LOVE to see that Sherco - sounds like THE bike to have right now!!!!
Doesn't take much but I'm talked into the Sherco :)

I bought my KLX there and have had my BB 351 kit installed and a bunch of accessories purchased there. Nice place and that rewards system is hard to beat, just got $100 off my last purchase (which was originally a $50 purchase, which then turned into a $220 purchase because of the $100 off so net/net it was $120 out of pocket... So even though I saved $100 I still spent $70 more than intended. Damn rewards! :) ).

Maybe bump the ride to Sunday?? 10 degrees warmer.
Like it makes easyer for me and gives me Sat. afternoon to check out the 450

If you haven't already, check the oil and make sure your petcock isn't leaking fuel into the crankcase. 30-40 miles per tank is unheard of!

No petcock, fuel injected.

It was 30-40 miles of singletrack at Westpoint on a 300cc enduro race four stroke with a 2.2 gallon tank. I wouldn't say that's crazy, about on par with my KLX.
