Thanks everyone! I got a bunch of parts in today and will be bolting them on before I hit the dirt. July/August looks like the only time I can do it as I can't travel in June or September for work reasons.

Also, are there any "Tech Days" in the area? I've got to do the Doo and check/adjust the valves at 600 miles. The way I'm riding, it'll probably be soon!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome. I don't think we've had a tech day in a while, but if any of the other KLR guys are interested in one I don't mind helping out. I have the wrench and puller for the doo if you need it. I wouldn't get in a rush on the doo, no chance of them breaking on the newer bikes, and the factory spring usually holds tension for at least the first few thousand miles. Same on the valves, rarely do they need adjusting on the first check, but it never hurts to take a look.

That sounds fun! I've got a Thermobob and Doo waiting to be installed. The valve checks are supposed to be done on a very cold engine, right?

I'll likely do it all at 600 miles. I'll probably hit 600 this weekend. I'm committed to building a deck over the weekend of the 4th, so, I've got to figure out when I'm going to fit this in

I sure do hate to miss a chance to ride anywhere & Turkey Bay is fairly close. I can usually (not always) make a T.B. ride with just 24 hours notice.

HA!!! I knew KTM was gonna kick names & take a$$ in Tennessee!

Dungey (1-2)

Roczen (2-1)

Maybe next year I'll go watch KTM do it again in person.

There is a pretty cool 2009 Beta 525 dual sport on Craigslist in Franklin, TN. I don't know the seller & have not ridden one , but thought I would throw a picture on here since it's kind of rare. If I didn't already have a dual sport I would be checking this one out.

Pretty yummy looking. Not too bad on the price considering what it is. Wonder if the owner is an ADV member.
