I liked it better when Bullwinkle was still there but.... time marches on.

Yeah, Wren jacked Bullwinkle up. I think he left town.

Somebody on Three Wheeled Fairies said they saw him hard parking a Hardley in a Lubbock corner while muttering something about lean angles and photoshopping out the side stand.

Third time's a charm.... COACH'S in McGregor

I'll let ya'll kno how it was........

AFTER "MEATING" AT COACHS..........similar serving style to Cooper's/Hard 8/Schoepf's.....without the "FREE" beans ....but they do have "beverages" available... Large eatin area with picnic tables ..a mix of tall tables/stools & lunch bar....Roll up clear curtains on the side patio.

This was only their 2nd day open so I'm gonna reserve any further comments until I go back in a couple of weeks. I will say the meat was tender & juicy but don't expect ribs the size of LCs.

UPDATE: 2nd trip 1/2lb of Brisket & tater salad.....The brisket still didn't have a bunch of flavor by itself but with the sauce it was tasty. I got cuts off of a fresh from the pit brisket with some nice bark (not much smoke ring though). I understand they use pecan wood when cookin. The meat was a bit drier this time ...but also much leaner.
The potato salad was definately made there...not from a store. Pretty creamy white mayo style with good ratio of ingredients. Decent serving size.

Another trip might be in order......still haven't tried the chicken.
...Well....I guess in most cases that old sayin holds true......Just not this time.

I stopped in at COACH'S BBQ again today. Pretty much the same results as the previous 2 times. The brisket WAS tender....but it just didn't have much flavor. Sausage was almost cold again. The tater salad is another thing that hasn't changed....& doesn't need to....It's good

little over 1/2 lb of brisket & sausage..tater salad & water $8.75....a bit high but not as much as Coopers!

A Loco Coyote Reminder. They re-open March 16th and will have free music. We plan on being there. Hope to see some TX ADVers there also that night.

Me, too. Me, too. But it was nice of them to close down during James' recuperation. I think he wants that corner again. He's got that sneaky bastidge figured out now.

Does the Coyote have any set hours? I want to go there bad. I'll be passing by in April. I stopped by last year in April on a Friday and they were closed. I was starving to death and had to ride all the way to the Hard 8 for a fix.

In the past it was Friday evening (4:00 - 10:00 I think), Sat (noon to 10:00 I think) and Sunday afternoon (11:00 to 4:00). They were also open some on Thursday evening in the spring and summer. And they closed when they went on vacation.

But with this new remodel, they may be planning more regular hours. Well just have to watch them and see.

Let us know when you'll be passing through and maybe I can head down that way and meet you.

We plan on being there friday the 16th around 5PM. Will check on their hours. A mass ADV showing would be cool. No place for Pirates to park would be priceless but unlikely. (Sorry SOG...) Besides you swing both ways..haha

Saturday the 17th? Sunday the 18th? Wait until 11:30 the night before to plan the Invasion?

Now, don't be talking about my pirate peeps, Donovan. Some of them dentists can be kinda rough on ya. And I'd advise not messing with the CPA's either, this time of year especially. But it's always safe to fuck with the lawyers.
