Legalize it. Tax it. Now you can free the cops to go after the bad guys. And free up jail space for them. Simple solution.

Impromptu Porkchop Stop.....

Well....Looks like I've put together a little lunch get together for today. Kinda last minute posting this....but I was waiting on the weather forecast for planning purposes.

We're gonna meet at Michna's BBQ in Waco about 11:15 or so & have some of their really interestingly prepared porkchop plate specials ($6.95!)

Dahveed.slowoldguy,Halobomb,RZ500rich,Wingnut & Golfpro have been contacted so far.....Not sure about all of them, but at least 3 out of those folks + myself are definates. (sorry I haven't had time enough to contact more of ya'll...that's why I'm posting)

If anyone else wants to show up...Michna's is located at 28th & Franklin near downtown Waco. ......& if your taste runs toward something other than the porkchop....they have a regular menu + a buffet.

And their "all you care to stuff in your fatass face" (that's trade-marked by the way) BBQ buffet is pretty good, too. I'll be there, but I'm thinking the chop.

I was sorely tempted by the fatass face stuffing buffet, but instead I did the "diet" plate of one porkchop, slaw and tater-salad. Now I

Any of you S.Texas BBQ snobs know where Rudys BBQ (not the chain Rudys) in Sinton went to? I passed up Vans BBQ on 37 and when I got to Sinton, Rudys was long gone. Dang! I liked that place. The little lady and I are going to Stevie Lews BBQ in Fulton for the first time today. I'll report back later.........................Stevie Lews was great! Tender, juicy brisket with very little fat. The beans were some the best I've had and the creme corn was a close second to Rudys. My good size meal was only $7.95. Its a family business, his daughters and wife run the kitchen and his teenage son is the pit boss. Its on 35 just south of the LBJ causeway and is only open on thur fri and sat.

For BBQ hounds: tomorrow LC is closed, as is Ranch House. Hard Eight is open. Guess where I'll be.
