Tonight I caged it to LC for a Q fix fo me and the missus...We got there at 5 and it was packed

Had to wait about an hour for a table. The good news is our old favorite waiter Waylon is back!!!!

Food was fantastic as always and got plenty of leftovers for tomorrow

Wife goes back to work tomorrow so she no chance for a mothersday deal for her Sunday. I need to get out to scout some new Q joints...Calling BigDave, did they deliver my Tourance??? The 1200 will be out of commission as of tomorrow. Taking it to Lone Star for the shock replacement

Castell is a wonderful place to grab a beer. The burgers sounded good too, but its hard to pass by Cooper's to get to Castell for BBQ. How does it compare to Cooper's?

I know this is a Central Texas Thread but...Well we tried a few BBQ joints in Durango CO.

Serious Texas Bar-B-Q;

Ribs 4, just because it comes on paper don't make it Texas BBQ, way to spicy for me, sauce was just ok, smallish ribs not bad but way to hot with pepper rub. Not very Serious at all.

serious indigestion maybe. Cole Slaw was decent.

The Diamond Belle Saloon in the Strator Hotel

Ribs 8+

a real surprise, big meaty, tender ribs with great sauce, real french fries!

and was on the special for the night for $5.99, music was pretty good, Margaritas are HUGE and good, I had 2, but I was on Vacation.

Ok, Was not sure what to expect here. Glenrose already has Loco Coyote and Hammond's in town, but PhotoTex said this is a good place so it must be right

....Decor is basic BBQ joint Texas decor, even had the western encore channel on the Tube so one can watch GUNSMOKE while tasting for the Holy Smoke

........Sorry, no pics I was blowing through on official business and was starving to death....food was inhaled before I thought of the camera phone

1) RIBS: NOt bad....would be the best in town if not for Loco, but hey Loco is outside the city limits

so they beat Hammonds... a solid 8

2) Sausage: DAMN GOOD! They also have a turkey sausage which I did not try. Not sure if they make this or have a vendor........8.5
3) Brisket: not too bad, a little dry for my taste, so I would probably just order sausage and ribs again.......5.5

Not a bad place to eat and would be my next choice if Loco is closed. Special note: TRY THE CHIPOTLE POTATO SALAD

ps: SORRY SSDan, did not try the fries....I did not feel qualified
