go riding/camping/cottage bump
Had some Harley riders stay in cottage,
Some ADV BMW tent campers from Toronto, and a family with quad runners out trail riding last weekend. Everyone happy with the place and good rates. |

lots of inmates from metro Detroit area and Windsor, ON were at the Northern Michigan Rally and expressed an interest in a riding area closer to home.
We are 90 minutes from Detroit area. |

Is it possible for you to do a map overlay of the campsite and trails?

We did get there about 3 and left about 8. I did get some pics I will get them to my bucket account and try to get them linked .
I haven't had much luck , I have some other pics I've been workin on with out much luck . I'm still on that dial-up thing as cable is not available . ------------------------------------------------- It was a good day my 11 year old is alittle less worried about heading north now ... She was able to learn quite abit here Plus the wife {a quad rider} also thinks she is ready to head north . We were all happy we made the day ride . The four of us maybe more will make more trips to this little hidden secret .IF you guys keep cutting trail we are sure to help you brake it in !

Sounds like a good place to hone the girlfriends skills. She's a bit skittish on the whole trail idea.

In my opionion it is the perfict place for that !!
My 11 year old was able to cut her teeth on hoping logs , clutch skills just plan slow riding around obsticals !! The older girl 13 who has been up north enjoyed the day too . The area is a range of thorne bush to younge shaplings up to six" ? trees with dead falls . We did cut some trail but there are about six hunting blinds with conecting trails to start on , OH and up to the front by the main road is about eight HONEY bee hives they didnt bother us, we had two bees at the trailer for a short time checkin us out but left in short order . Actually the wife got alittle to close to the hives for me on the quad But had NO problems . There is a county drain with a pretty good wash out that I and the older girl explored . On the main open trail , the first campsite from the house has a table , fire pit and the grass has been kept cut . Keep in mind this is rustic! There is a porta john one girl used the other would not . The main trail ends at a soy bean field or turns to the right to take you out to a dirt road north towards Port Sanilac BUT this is not the same property and the neibor maintains it nicley !!!! . SO I would sugest to tread lightly if you use it !!!! We stayed away from any houses just to be safe . Only about five miles north to Port Sanliac . For $20.00 bucks it was a good day and if they keep picking away I think they will have a nice thing going although it is a one group at a time area in my opionon maybe 8 or 10 bikes staying together . Young family or beginner riders. Don't take it in a bad way It's just not for speed demons not enough room !!! Just My Thoughts

I was proposing to my girlfriend that we skirt the shoreline on my DRZ 400s and her KLX 650c on the way up there. A nice scenic ride M29 TO M25 UP TO Applegate. Have to asses my schedule when I get back to the states though.
