Your proud mom loves you!

Great story about the dogs. I can picture your face during that adventure! Glad you are OK. Hope you make it to the shuttle launch in Florida and the wedding in Tenn. in time! Love your posts, I'm all ears.

It was nice talking with you today on the phone Dave. Ride on, have fun...and we look forward to seeing you in Atlanta! I'm going to pop over to our regional forum and let the troops know you're heading this way in the next week.

Stay vertical! (relatively)

I am hoping to own something internally combusted that runs on petrol instead of stout.

Shooterdave ,I went through Joplin on my way west in October. I had some really good ribs at a Bar-B-Que joint called "Big R's". Just a heads up if you're looking for some good grub!

Great report! If you need a place to crash, change oil, or fix something when you make it back through South Dakota (and you're on the Eastern side), let me know!

Ya if you read a few pages back (when I was in Carlsbad NM) I think I talked about it. Basically the muffler had 22,000 miles on it from my other bike before I went on this trip. The rivets holding the collar in became loose. Well the holes became elongated which made the whole collar and baffle vibrate. Eventually the vibration made the bolts holding the baffle on come out. I put some new ones on but they didn't stay. So I took the baffle off all together. Since then the holes got bigger to the point that the collar almost came out. Before I left Keith's we machine screwed in the collar. All is good now. Not really much of a story I'm afraid. Sorry.
