I ate at Oark on a Sunday. Here's a shot from western Arkansas early in the morning. If you have ever thought about the TAT go for it. I had a blast and would do it again in a minute. Well maybe except for Mississippi. BLAH!

Nice picture, but was it taken with a cell phone? The bike looks a bit fuzzy, not really sure what is in focus. Good picture anyway.

HMMMM... not sure. It was with a camera. Canon 110sx something or other. May be the fact I rode the dusty TAT with it on a shoestring around my neck had something to do with it. By the time I got to Colorado it wouldn't fully open the lens cover and I had to push it with my finger. I bought it in Bloomington, IN on a ride after I dropped my last one and killed it. Never did like that camera and now I need a replacement.

LOL.....I've been doing the "opening of the lens cover with finger" thing for over a year with my Canon, still takes pictures though.

I think mine was from some Michigan sand

Shoot I'll speak up- I'll be going. Starting to get dark earlier, can't waste these nice evenings!

Where we wanna meet. I've never partaken of the grub at the HD/BMW shop, so that's not a draw for me. Kinda' congested too. Just my 2 cents.

Mark,

How about meeting at the old River Road Country Club (now Champion's Park). It's on the corner of River Road and Zorn Avenue, right across from the water tower. It used to be a golf course, now it's a walking/dog park.
How about meeting at 5:45?

50% chance I can get there. Just depends on my workday.

Awwww crap. I knew I should have checked in here sometime this afternoon. I figured when I didn't see anything on the mailing list that it was a no-go for tonight. You guys had incredible weather - I hope you took advantage of it.

I wanted to head to Baxter Ave. and drink, but Jerry had other ideas. I'd elaborate but I'm to exhausted at the moment...more tomorrow.

Wish I took more pics

But it hard to do when you have a death grip on the bars....

Mark and I had planned on a nice back road ride when we ran into a friend who told us to make a turn down a certain gravel road. He said it would be a nice little interesting "road". Well it started off gravel and then to nice dirt double track then to rutted single track then some creek crossings and many stagnant, frog infested mug bogs. At one point, Mark and I got separated and I ended up on a tiny trail with 15ft tall weeds on both sides. Luckily, Mark found me and we got turned around.

Finally we find our way out, only a short ride across a grassy field and through someone's back yard and we would be back on the tarmac. But Mark gave blood earlier in the day and decided he needed to take a little siesta before we continued.

Mark may have a different version of that story.

Jerry's 'friend' was this little dirt bike riding elf who swore us to secrecy as to his special playground's location. Can't seem to remember where it was...but I do like Budweiser.

Jerry was on the big bike (1200gs) which I wouldn"t have had the guts (or skills) to take where he did. I was on my little wr250r. I'd blast ahead and wait for him to catch up.

Chuga - chuga - chuga and along he'd come...

This is steeper than it looks (yeah right) but Jerry came tractoring down. Of course I was so far ahead I had time to take lot's of pics.

Chuga - chuga - chuga...

Some nice creeks...

We had dirt - bogs - rocks - pasture...

Lost Jerry one time. Went back to find him thinking the big bike would be on it's side. Heard him off in the woods...Chuga - chuga - chuga.

He never dropped it. Wish I could say the same. But HEY I was going faster, and, and,...Yeah - I donated a pint of my best O- to the Red Cross 3 hours earlier. Yeah! that's why I sucked!

GPS blurred for security proposes...

When we popped out of the woods into somebody's backyard I over rev'ed it and ended up on my side. Tweeked my mirror and clutch lever, but no permanent harm to me or the bike. My first time trail riding on the WR and what a blast.
