I live in John Day for the current time and soon to be moving to the hood river area for a new job. Lived out here for the last 6 years and there is not many roads or trails that I haven't ridden. What an awesome place to ride dual sport. But what I hear the gorge is a awesome place as well. Trying to get myself into more of these events now that I have a job that may allow for more of this kind of thing. Sounds like you might be from the area, ya?? I am riding on saturday for now we should meet up if your in. Talk with later..

I will be the rare Husqvarna rider with a 21' Jayco motorhome. Yes Ive lived in most every corner of the eastern 2/3 of Oregon, although never in John Day strangely. I do have family in Long Creek, of all places. That is great dual sport country. Hood River will be fun, but the dirt tends to get slimey when wet. You can also do a little competitive GP/XC riding near Goldendale at the course there. www.omraoffroad.com Check out the events calendar.

Nothin' if it is on a Honda, but it looks orangey next to Husqvarna red.

BTW, 450X, nice bike - I had an 05 and and 08 before I went dualsporty with the Husky.

IN for 3 days of riding (...if we get there soon enough for the night ride).

I haven't done the Black Dog, in probably 10 years.
If memory serves, we rode all the way around Mt Hood.
Really looking forward to it.

Sidecars at the BlackDog

Andy signed up yesterday. Monica and Robert are both on board and Amy is making up her mind, so I will get registered this evening.

I just got off the phone with Tawm. Adventure Sidecar will once again be providing the sidecar trophy for the BlackDog Dualsport Rally.

The rally is Saturday and Sunday June 5 & 6 with a special night ride Friday evening. Hood RIver County Fairgrounds, Odell, Oregon USA

I hope to see some more sidecars at the rally this year. Get your roll chart holders and tripmeters rigged and join us. Mr.Cob will unveil his Predator Ural rig there and I know at least 3 KLR sidecar teams are planning to be ride. This is too much fun to pass up, come to Hood River and join us!

More info at: http://www.blackdogdualsport.com/bd_events.htm
