Eek Look! Anyone got $200K lying around?

Look what I found on eBay.
A little piece of history.

"Buy it now" price is only $100K. That's nearly half off!

I was going by what was quoted as the reserve at Sotherby's. I guess the guy has lowered his expectations dramatically, although from where I stand, they are still in the stratosphere.

Sweet.

There was a story in Roadracing World a few years ago about a dude (Roland Sands?) buying an ex-HRC 500cc twin to club race. I don't recall what he paid for it but it wasn't out of this world expensive. Okay, so it wasn't a 500cc four, but it looked to be plenty fun.

Rolands quite a rider Performance Machine. I love his writing too but John says he can't get him to write anymore.

there was a rrw test of one that was owned by the owner of Palm Pilot too. The line from that I loved was. You have to by one of these for the love of bikes. Because to race one is a loose loose. If you win everyone says its the bike if you loose everyone says how can you loose on a nsr 500.
