Jesse Cases on 800GS

I asked for a price that included mounts but Rick's message didn't specify whether or not they were included. All the other prices include racks, so it probably does.

I installed our Safaris on the weekend, fine bit of kit..... but!

What were they thinking when they put 4 imperial bolts into the forward ring mounts. It's a metric bike and every other fastener on the panniers is metric, so now "just in case" I might need to tighten or loosen these bolts we are forced to carry a suitable imperial allen key which will never have any other use on the bike.

What a silly idea, I am going to drill and re-tap them to a suitable metric size.

I noticed the goofy allen size as 3/16th instead of something metric as well. Agree it was not a good decision.

Regarding the 9" Safari's, they're not "officially out" yet, which is why they're not mentioned on the site or available in all colours yet. I imagine once production ramps up and there's decent stock available, they'll officially announce them. Everyone who already got them has a "preview" release.

They look pretty good too! I ran into Wyldkard at our local BMW shop today and his 30th Anniversary Ed. F800GS looks awesome with the Jesse boxes.

Just got my Jesses. YE HAAA !!! They are the 9" version.








The packing is FUN too. The brown paper is like 50 feet long!!! Yep I'm amused by simple things !!

Getting there. Too busy riding !!

Tomorrow I'm into the dealer for electrical problem. I'm not getting full charging when riding and I have burned out my 2nd set of PIAA bulbs for the 1100's since February

So this weekend I'll get them mounted and photos to follow

Make sure and I mean MAKE SURE you do not tighten anything regarding the mount until you have it level, balanced and square.... Have fun installing the mount! We did two of them.
