690R build thread
Well I better start a build thread on the 690R so here goes
take 1 2009 690R surf the interNERD and spend a load of cash you have not got . My dream bike is a 690RR but can't afford the 43k so thank fully some ( alberto, http://www.albertodottori.net/ktm%20...ica%20race.htm ) got a copy of the690rr fairings and so starts the build , it it really started about 6 months ago with some sexy WP twin chamber forks ![]() ![]()

It'll be good to see what you end up with. I nearly bought one 3 weeks ago (new) which was going to cost me around the 15 k mark. Then you need to start spending?? Luckily a pristine 640 adventure came up with around 4 k on the clock and I saved around 5 k on the 690 with no need to modify it too much. So I took the easy option. Albeit with a bit more vibration than the 690 donk. Good luck with your project.

Looking great so far. Have you filled up Alberto's tank yet to see how much they hold?
It'll be interesting to see how heavy she is at the end. I bet the difference to my EXC won't be all that big once I add cush drive, oil cooler, fairing, HID lights, big tanks etc.

That's damn cool but there's something about a fiberglass gas tank that worries me... (It is fiberglass isn't it?)
