how much stuff

Just got back from a month in Central America. Work situation required that I ship the bike back from Mex as I ran out of time. So I emptied the zegas and left them on, and took everything and bagged it home on a plane. Since I had everything in a bag I decided to weigh it all. I did not camp.

Everything not bolted to the bike came home and was weighed together, including the GPS, my full riding gear, RP2, santiago boots, spare shoes, ALL clothes, helmet, camera, bathroom stuff, maps, first aid kit, computer, gopro and mounts, all cables, all papers, wallet, leatherman, spare oil, empty zega liner bag, tools, straps, my spot, etc. EVERYTHING I took with me (except my nekid body), was included and weighed.

Total weight of under 62 lbs. Less than I would have thought.

Thats about right...now toss in camping gear, and I bet you'd be close to a pillion weight.

I have to get creative to get my camping gear over 20#

My huge 3 man Nallo GT weighs 6#
15 degree bag weighs 3#,
exped pad with pump 2#,
jet boil 1#,
through in a few pounds for mountain high food/camp fuel, tarp and a hatchet and I am still under 16 additional pounds.

That makes for one tiny pillion.

I count in my tools, tire irons, hand pump, flashlights, a bag of nuts and bolts, coffee mess(coffee, sugar, spork), AAA batt. charger, netbook, etc.

I would bet I have 125-130lbs of crap......I weigh in @ 155#.....so I DOUBT I would have a pillion that weighs more than myself

haha, I think there is an unwritten rule about weighing less than the pillion (unless you ride a HD ).

Yes I counted all of those things in my weigh in, with the exception of my Titanium irons, I forgot those, that is why I was so suprised. I could never come close to 100# even if I added a spare tire,or two. And the 62lbs includes the clothes I am wearing my helmet rp2 suit and boots etc. So I have no idea how people get gear weight equal to a passenger??
