Just ordered a rear 140 for the 800GS from Robert at MTR in BC. Should be here in Alberta in less than 24hours. Robert is great to deal with and the last 6 tires I purchase from him were here in 24hours on the Greyhound. Check his web site out. Great service

haha... I'll try to keep upbeat, its a miracle I got a set to try out. It definitely looks better than the Karoos.

I just wish Heidenau would get it together and start producing tires!!!!

Izzug! Long time no talk. How is the front K60 on the HP2 doing? Any loss of grip off road? I just ordered a pair (should be here by tuesday) and they said nothing about them being the "scout" version. Do you know anything about them and how different are they from the original?

It looks like they've got the Mefo equivalent. It's very close in pattern but is a little more square than curved on the profile.

Haven't really heard any feedback on the Mefo myself.

Dunno about the rear Mefo, but the front sucks. After 5,000 miles, mine is cupped badly and I get a nasty weave/wobble at high speed that I never experienced with the original Battlewings or the K60s. I can't get that piece of crap off of my bike fast enough!

The Scorpions are the stock offering on the 990 Adventure. Not quite in the same catogory as the K60. Meaning they are not as aggressive as the K60.

I had the same feelings about the Shinko's. man did they suck....

speaking of that if anyone wants my rear shinko705 17/150/70 a little worn. i'd let it go for a song... well maybe a little more than a song.

My rear K60 is still going strong from winter... apart from putting on Anakees for our trip to the grand canyon.

I might be able to squeeze the rest of the summer out of it.

So this is what our tires look like after putting on over 7000km on mostly pavement. We are using them n our cross country trip. Will they last all the way back from New York to Vancouver, BC? We doubt it!

I dunno, those look pretty good to me, Leslie. Unless you're in the habit of swapping out perfectly good tires, I'd say those should get you home and then some.
