That Heidi front was one stiff carcass to remove. I was surprised how much pressure I had to put on the spoons to get it over the rim. Shinko front was an easy on.
What's weird in the switch is that the Shinko rubber with 32 psi feels harder and stiffer to the touch than the Heidi did with its recommended 41 psi. |

Man, you experts here have my head spinning. I think if can get a 150 Heidi before the August trip, I'll give em a go. If they're not available by then, I'll throw a dart at my computer display - pretty sure I'll have a good time no matter what tire I end up with.

I'm with you Don, my head is spinning. I think i'm going with the Heidi's ...140, 150 if available.
WoodWorks was more then impressed with the performance on his CDR ride, should work for us. |

Well ... just had a nice ride to lunch with a mixture of gravel and bitumen, and I had a bit of a go on some of the winding black stuff and ... I still like my 140 K60 scouts !

Installed the Heidi's on the F8GS (140's) and my wife's F650GS. Like them so far.

Heidi rear and Shinko 244 front
Curb checked the combination on the sidewalk too. Both tires airborne that the same time without a hitch. Check.I have a brand new, never mounted, K60 Scout 21 inch front that I'm willing to part with now that I'm back on knobs. It's a decent street/dirt road tire and the design isn't half bad in the sand and snow either if you are careful. I'm not going to go back to a street front again so I will entertain all reasonable offers for it. If you want it shoot me a PM. |

Just received this from Dave @ Motohelp.
Howdy - Just a short note to let you know that we will be receiving a very, very limited amount (around a dozen or so) of The Heidenau K60 Scout 150/70x17 tires right around May 1st. Please contact me as soon as possible so we can get you set up with some of these tires. Thanks! I just ordered. I'm going to do the Scout rear and a TKC80 front this time.
Thanks John.

Awesome that 150's are available. Can't wait to hear some feeback.
Have an epic 100 mile gameland/200 mile street ride planned for Sunday. Am going to put the Heidi 140 scout through some paces with our local dual sport crew that rides smaller lighter off-road bikes on true knobs faster than I usually go in the dirt. Actually gonna try to spoon a brand new 140 on this afternoon to test how difficult it might be to do it on the trail. If I can do it without the beadbrakr I'll be extremely happy but I'm guessing I'll need to pack that for the trip. |

So, I guess that's that. |
