![]() New chain and sprockets. The OEM lasted 17500 miles. Also, my first tire change. I'm a noob mechanic, and it felt good to do this myself rather than just handing my keys and a debit card over to someone. Thanks to the OC and the HOW! |

Once I get it all set up I'll try to remember to post something about the results. I've not seen anyone else complain about the breather hose setup but I'm not pleased with it at all. Once I have the hose I want I think it will be ok but the breather location could have been better. Everything else looks like excellent quality kit.

Installed some Lights
Well some may or may not know how crappy the Lights are on the 950r Super Enduro.
I think I have a "Micky Mouse" solution to the problem. Drilled a couple of small 5/16th holes in the Allow BarkBusters. Prelim tests suggest that they are a major improvement. Need to get the left right angle realigned a bit. But I like the Lightforce lights for their weight and ability to adjust the type of beam just by turning the light clockwise or anticlockwise.. ![]() This is a picture with just Standard High Beam on. This is a picture with the Twin Lightforce 140's on. Here is a video that also illustrates the benefits. <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XHjh6ceVs9w" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>

Fitted some Mefos in readiness for a trip to the Pyrenees next week.
These were a bit of a shock after the Trail Attacks. Much rounder profile that drops into corners plus, as expected, a lot less grip at first. Soon got used to them after a trip round the lakes to scuff them in. Let's see how they last. Can't wait to try out my new GoPro too, birthday present from my better half!

Pompey -> Bilbao a week on Friday
![]() Just need a new rear on and I'm ready to go - 400 mile off road route Bilbao -> Zaragoiza, 150 mile off road trail towards Andorra, then a couple of road books round Andorra. If we haven't run out of time a trans Pyrenees route back towards the Atlantic. We have more off road stuff mapped out than we'll be able to do. If it's too hot Bilbao-> Zaragoza, we'll skip it and get into he mountains. cheers Markie

Went for a little ride around the mountain. Nearly out to pavement, the low fuel light goes on...
65 miles? 5+ gals? WTF ![]() ![]() ?I stop and look for leaks; anything that's big enough to drop mileage to 12 ish mpg should be obvious; no joy. I was stopping and idling a lot as I was working out routing points and directions at intersections, etc, incl mileage, but 12 MPG? REALLY? ...got to Weed and the gas pump. Right tank is full. Forgot to turn the petcock back on putting the tanks on yesterday. Dumbass. ![]() ![]() ![]() Nice day, tho! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ...check your petcocks... Steve

took the forks off of both of them as the fork seal gremlins struck..... the 300's are at MX connection (local guy) for seals, should have them back tomorrow. The 990's are on thier way to superplush for seals and a revalve... until then things look pretty sad in the garage:

Decided to sell it. Fiancee and I are on too dissimilar bikes and need to be more congruent. Selling 08 990 and looking for part trade on two KLR 650s or 650GS. Ad here:
