I put in a Rally Raid windscreen

.....and then rode the bike

....okay, I really painted the inside of the screen black, then installed it, then rode the bike

New front Scorp, lubed the chain and took my camera for a spin. Inspired by the HDR thread on this forum, up at 7am and away.Fresh summer mornings are at a premium this year

Nice!! Cole. Looks good.

I tore into mine tonight for an over due oil change, 4280 miles, the oil was pretty dark. Needs a new rear tire and I'm going back to the 16T CS. Also the LED turn sigs got hammered on the last ride so I will replace them with incandescent bulbs, they seem to me more durable.

I kinda feel like most of those LED signals are hard to see........especially at 100mph

I dont have the smarts to do so myself, so had our local KTM shop (with expertise with the big twins) perform the 15k service. Glad I did, as inevitably we made a number of discoveries, and faced a number of challenges:

- as its now summer (dry), we slapped a Heidi Enduro (old style) front on, and K60 Scout rear.
- replaced the chain, as my chain was actually missing 5 rollers - scary ! Lesson: dont bother measuring chain stretch, visually inspect and replace at 15K or sooner.
- valves were significantly out, rear was fine, but front cylinder intake valves in particular were out.

It all ended well, with the big Katoom purring happily on the ride home, and ready for her next adventure !

You will not notice it at first..but it starts with a few innocent KTM stickers,.progresses to a KTM key ring, to KTM coffee mug and next thing you know, you have gone completely mad and start wearing orange tee shirts.It is a very bad infection..is this yeast infection (Bronx)
