They are wide, but not as wide as the 42 litre GIVI's i had on my previous V-Strom. Fit and finish is really nice. So far i'm very pleased.

Great Jared! Bags and a Camel toe??? hahahahaha! Bike looks GREAT! Somewhat like mine, but more baggy and camel-toey! I have no pic of the dash as of yet but I've mounted my Garmin 496 with my Aviation yolk mount. It jiggles a bit but works ok till my Touratech arrives. Hope more inspiration arrives here! I need some more great ideas! Ride safe bro, take care, Walt

First Ride on Dirt

Just got the bike 3 weeks a go, but finally have time to drive to the back side from Palomar Montain, Ca, 30 dirt/ 120 total. All most turned around at first mile, FI light start blink (turn of the bike for 5 minutes and back to normal) and I say: F that! I come here to have fun today, but tomorrow... Dealer.

Fitted some SAS block-off plates from KTMTwins tonight.

The install was pretty easy other than undoing the bottom bolt on the front cylinder. Wow, that little sucker is hard to get to with fat hands. I ended up taking off the front header to make room and from then on it was fine.

Also bought a G-IT bashguard off an inmate (thanks -GUV-), should be here next week.

Tech night here last night. Worked on everything but the orange beasts, however we did have 3 of the 950's here for the first time. Good to see you guys last night.

She-Ra!

Picked her up by myself.
I had tried before and couldn't do it, neither could my husband, so I had read a thread about picking up the beast but hadn't had the chance to try.

I was looking for a spot to park in for the Nevada City Summer Nights. Lo and behold another 950! Was going to park next to my buddy, but space was small so some maneuvering was required. During such maneuvering the stand came up and down Kitty went! Shit!
So there she lie. Pretty shiny orange fiddy looking on as my dusty black Darth Kitten lay forlorn on the street.
Well, lets give the method I read about a shot. Wheel hard right, two hands on left grip, squat low, lift a bit to get the feel... hmmm thats not too bad. Ok now, lift a bit, rock back down, momentum UP! Push! Get the hip under- and shes up. YAY! SUCCESS!
So proud of myself. So for all those out there thinking they can't, if a 5' 7", 40 year old woman who weighs a mere buck fifty can do it- SO CAN YOU!

Nice job! I have to admit I've also had such the opportunity in the parking lot at my work (but at least it was late and most everyone else had already left - except my co-worker who was walking toward his bike). I managed to lay it over (to the right side) as I was getting off of it on the left side. So basically I went one way (expecting the bike to follow me) and it decided to go the other way. D'oh!

At least it was still running while on its side and I was able to run around and grab the clutch and yank it back up (hoping to before my co-worker saw it). Too late. Damn.

Yeah, I meant to do that.
