Very cool. Can you access to the (+) terminal on the right hand side? You know, to attach the battery tender or cable jump start....

Mounted the Highway Dirt Bikes hand guards today. I don't know why people bitch & moan about having to bend them to get them to fit. Mine bolted right up, no problems. A little locktite, good to go.

Thinking of painting the crash bars and pannier mounts on my new ride orange. The bike is silver and black so I want to get some KTM orange action going. Does anybody have pics of orange crash bars on a silver 950 Adv?

Well, I went for it. I think it looks pretty good. I'll do the other crash bar tomorrow. I might do the pannier mounts as well.

I wiped the crash bar down with a shop towel (blue heavy duty paper towels) and windex. Then I sprayed Rustoleum PN: 249095 Gloss Real Orange spray paint on it. Its the Painter's Touch 2X ultra cover paint+primer.

I know, I need to go back and get another KLR, but the SW Motech crash bars were pretty scratched and beat up so I figured the spray paint isn't really hurting anything. Same goes for the pannier mounts; they're scratched, faded, and starting to get a little bit of rust. The spray bomb action isn't going to make them any uglier.

I think so, its a nice deep and bright orange. Seems to match the gauges well.

It's a Touratech manufactured aluminium box from the KTM Powerparts catalogue. Superb quality came with the bike when I biught it nearly new I have two matching 46L side bins too.

Looks great!
But i would think twice before painting the rear mounts. Look for pics, I've seen a couple and I don't think they look that great in orange.

Thanks and I agree. I was looking at it this morning and decided to just leave it at the crash bars.
