Found Out The Fuel line size

Today I went to install the metal fuel shut-off valve from KTM Twins only to discover that what they sell (1/4") is not what the stock size is (5/16")

If you were thinking of ordering one, you might want to wait until they get the right size. It is a bit loose in the stock hoses, and noticeably smaller inside. Too bad as it seems to be much better than the plastic one.

Well in the great white North I have lots of non riding time so in the last month or so:
New facet fuel pump, checked valves, set TPS, balanced carbs, set floats, cleaned carbs, broke carb heater, pulled carbs replaced carb heater, (not in that order)noticed oil sensor wire hanging loose, pulled carbs and air box, plugged wire inreplaced air box and carb, noticed O-rings on carb leaking, pulled carbs, replaced O-rings, replaced carbs re torqued clutch springs, installed new heated grips, bleed brakes, bleed and replaced clutch fluid, new air filter, cleaned pre filter, re wired GPS, added new rally style windscreen, modified seat, added bigger rear brake peg, scraped most of the mud off, cleaned chain, bought 2 Roto pax for next years trip north, oh yeah and put a CJ designs sticker on the new BDCW skid plate removed the fuel tank cross over line and plugged holes, did a flapendectomy
Now it's time to pull the Guzzi in while the 950 sits in the TV room waiting for spring CAN'T WAIT

One other way is this. Dump the used oil and let it sit for a while in a clean pan to let the oil and water separate.

Remove the water from the top using any method u can think of....like a syringe or a cotton piece. Use the oil to flush more water out of the engine. And repeat this as needed.

After the first flush, water will separate from oil quicker if you don't run the engine just. You can rotate it manually using the bolt on the generator cover or put it in 6th gear on center stand and rotate the rear wheel (harder).
When you get water in the crankcase, it does not remain separated like you are describing, It turns into a milky sludge that sticks to everything and is quite difficult to remove without a solvent. The diesel trick will work, or kerosine. I'd fill it to the top of the oil reservoir and let it sit overnight. It's a nasty mess.

It might be casting sand AKA what chews up water pumps. When I did my first wp replacement I scrapped off gray "beach sand" from the wp impeller housing. CP shows how to flush the radiator with a water hose in the HOW.

Yeah, I was pretty shaky there for a bit. The second reel is taking a lot longer to process. Basically up the road to the end of the pavement onto Baldy Road, to just down from the locked gate. That 17/45 makes for a tall first gear with the 908RR's.
Maybe I'll get out for another ride between the holidays. I bet I hit 20 mph on that road in second gear even!

I always heard the creeks were more washed out. Does that trail connect to Rincon or are there locked gates?

Gate was locked up Baldy Road. I'd stopped for a breather in some shade and an old motocrosser on a 690 Enduro stopped by and told me about the gate a short way up the road being locked.
