I bought an air filter and ordered some spark plugs and some more bits.

Will try a single caliper for now and going high fender might be something for the future, like the low fender and rarely do muddy stuff so not on the urgent list.

I'm one of the few who have used the regular KTM dirt bike fork guards (they're all the same). Here's how I did it to produce a setup where you can change between low and high fenders in about 10 minutes. Maybe this will be useful for others.

Dirtjack - looks like a clean solution. Very cool.

DirtyAdv - I agree, I prefer the low fender. I'm only putting this on due to concerns over mud on an upcoming trip.

Do you have the PN for that white front fender? Does it have the vents in the back?

I'm considering going all white on my 690R. That is the first white fender I've seen with the headlight posts.

Thanks!

Today I sat in my dad's living room and managed to not order any parts.

Last night though I threw together a little video that is utter pap, but funny to me. It posted to Facebook, but damned if I can get it to load to my Smugmug. I used iMovie off my iPad.
Here's link. pretty tame by the usual standards, but, i like the bike. Not sure if it will work or not, but here it is. I'll try for an upload to Smugmug when I get home. Maybe I can get out for some more fun too.

My first dirt ride on my 2010 KTM 990 Adventure R from Richard Nowels on Vimeo.

Spoiled myself with a Christmas ride

Christmas ride front by -Roundoz-

christmas ride rear by -Roundoz-

A balmy 37 deg as I headed home. Still running-in my Safari tanks and Rekluse clutch. Very impressed with both so far. Had the tanks full and still running standard suspension ( settings almost maxed out mind you ) I found the road handling is fine...might prove to be overtaxed offroad as most say. If anything the bike was more settled in deepish sand and gravel.
