Pissed failed service

Finally got to take my 950A out for a shakedown after a whole list of service items.

Get home to pop skidplate back on and find that the *&%$*%&$ o-ring on the bearing bolt that i replaced ( part #60036071044 for the bolt and oring, just did the oring) is LEAKING AGAIN! oil all over the front/left of the motor.

why is it hidden behind the tank and oil tank and radiator and uggghhh.
When i get the new bolt/o-ring to install I will be adding a liquid sealant so i wont care if it nicks the ring again, I was stupid careful with the last install.

angry, sad, let down, wanted to ride, now maybe i will actually finish my write up for the now failed service i did do. parts are probably weeks out.

I remember when I got mine. Literally danced a jig until the ethanol dissolved the rubber o-rings and puked gas everywhere. $5 for an ethanol resistant rubber sheet and 3 min with a knife fixed that.

If I had it all to do over again that'd be the first mod I'd do, without question.

I finally got around to putting the graphics on the bike that I ordered while studying for my Commercial Law final. It's dangerous for me to have an idea with quick access to a computer...

And you can come down and ride to Baja with me when you've got them dialed in. They look awesome!

Same same

I had the same leak, but it turned out not to be the o-ring... it was the damn sensor itself! The center of the sensor is like a hard, black epoxy framed by black plastic. It was the seam between the epoxy and the frame that leaked on my bike. Weird.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

I installed a new sensor and o-ring and all is well. Good luck hunting it down. Hopefully it's just the o-ring.

Cheers,
Lance

Powersports Grafix. I've had sets from them on all my dirt bikes and couldn't be happier.

I'm sure you'll come up with some fix that adds 15 hp, 30 ft lbs of torque, and weighs half of what the original pipe did using a rubber band, a Coke can, and some bubble gum.

Installed the KTM rally foot pegs. Haven't ridden it yet as the 9 year old cotter pins are wasted and what I have in the garage was either too big or too small. Sitting on the bike though I can all ready feel their larger presence underneath my feet.

Also painted the backside of my new rally raid windshield after I test fit it. Drying as I type this!

I was thinking if I should get the normal or the gold version of this chain, but this picture bought me I'm going for the gold one:)

I've got a gold chain waiting for install with new sprockets too. It'll match my bike's gold tooth on the skull decal.
