Look closer. It's on the center stand. The jack stands just keep it from tipping fore and aft. Almost no weight is on either jack stand, just there for insurance.

She wears leather gloves when riding her dirt bike?

Bolted on a Touratech rear brake cylinder guard and KTM Aluminum Protection Screen. Took about 20 minutes, which was all I could bear in my unheated garage. Then I bottled two batches of beer. Beer..... it makes not riding a little better.

Made a video about my winter project

Special thanks go out to Chris from CPR Fabrications and Jeff. Without their help and advice, I would probably be on my way to the KTM dealer to replace the ECU.

Rode her the first time since before Christmas. I figured the traffic would be bad on the way to work my nightshift, turns out traffic wasn't so bad, but you forget how damned good these Mightaaaaay Katoooooms are!

Wish I could take it for a ride and find out... Unfortunately, the weather hasn't let up enough to give me a chance yet. All I was able to do was ride around the neighborhood.

Initial impression: it works!

Installed the Weld86 side stand support bracket. Because my bike is an '04, it took a little bit of fabrication to make the bracket fit and then I had to run to the hardware store and buy a long bolt for the front hole mount. Too bad Weld86 doesn't provide a complete kit depending which year bike you have, but it appears to be a quality item.

Installed a new drive chain while I was changing sprockets from 17/42 to 16/45. Since I sold my chain breaker/riveting kit when I'd sold my last chain drive bike a few years ago, I bought this nice PBR unit from Motion Pro. Thought the maker must really like Pabst Blue Ribbon to gave that name to the unit, but then realized it stands for Press, Break, Rivet. Its the nicest chain tool I've ever used and it worked great.

All set to go, but now we just need to get rid of all the snow and ice around here.

Do your bars have a cross brace between sides. What brand?

Installed my 30L Safari tank on the SE, quite a change from the original.
Needed to change the fuel tap gaskets to prevent leakage as they looked pretty worn. The fuel reserve sensor was cracked so I ordered a new one. Changed the stock handlebars for an orange anodized one with center bar where I will fix my GPS.
