So, had to tear into the big fellow so I could get the GPS installed.

Tank cover, side panels, headlight mask, windshield and headlight all come off to get me to the AUX wiring:

Here it is:

My friend who bought my 950 donated the cruise control device since his new ride has a Kako. Wonderfully simple:

The highway pegs are from "Adventure Design":

Here are the pannier mounts with the Rotopax installed:

They were customized by my friend "Linos" in Florida so that I could securely pack a camp knife:

It is a pretty clever construction:

Laugh

A Dirt Tricks 45 tooth Ironman sprocket and some of CJ's Axle Adjuster Blocks (I cracked my stock blocks) just showed up in the mail. Time to get them mounted and get the big 950 back in riding shape.

I'm sorry, "highway pegs?" I don't understand.

I gave my new GPS mount a 500+ mi shake down ride.

Man I like having a screen I can see well!

Also on the way home we hit a big storm. Unplugged it and dimmed screen to 60% and it lasted right at 6 hrs before shutting down. I am very pleased. :)

He is referring to the fact you have highway pegs on a bike that should see little highway use. Referring to it's renowned dirt prowess. ;)

In other words he was being sarcastic. :)

brought it home from the Stealership.

New, worked in a free first oil change, which will effectively be the second.

The "tech people" at said Stealership were telling me that I should come back in a thousand km for the first oil change. After seeing the crud and junk in the oil after the first 20 - 50 miles from fellow inmates posts, I will get a filter, oil and do it myself. I got told the rings are super hard, and not prone to wear (no sh*t) and it will take a while for them to seat against the cylinder wall... uh huh...

Me thinks I will continue with the the love/hate Stealership relationship.

Today, I install the Wings (Shorty), KTM skidplate and Unifilter Kit.

hopefully I still have time in the day to rip a bit.... er, break her in.
