New Shoes

I put another set of Tires under my KTM. Was going to try Karoo 3's front and back, but the shop I use couldn't get a front. All their sources were back ordered. But they had a Dunlop 606 on the floor, so I grabbed it because I really needed something.

Bonfire of the (Wings) Vanities

Got my Wings and put them on - pretty easy if I don't count twisting off all but one of the old bolts on removal ). Got them for the right reasons - heat, weight, power. But - the sound . Now I just want to ride around and listen to them! I'm really not that kind of guy...

I think the bike might pull a bit more smoothly on the low end - might just be me diggin' sound tho. No remap done.

I also installed an Oberon clutch slave as PM. It works well.

For any Canadian buyers - or anybody I guess - Blue Streak Racing had a significant saving on this bit of bling.

Still vacillating on a Rotweiller filter set up.

Gotta go ride and listen to my pipes

Do the Rottweiler and load the map on the CPR site - ran great on my former 990r with Akrapovics and the Rottweiler. Bike pulled like a freight train and returned decent mileage (kilometerage)...

Kilometerage!

I finally got the front TKC balanced buy de-beading it and rotating it on the rim 90 degrees. Success!

Thats the Uni for the 990, not sure if its the same for the 950.

Longer rear stack makes a big difference to the bottom end and low mids, gives you more torque and smoother rollons from as low as 2500 rpm upwards.
Only downside is you loose just a tad of the top end rush as it makes the power a bit more linear.

Applies to pretty much any new bike sold. None of them are really completed by the factory; they just give you a place to start.

Really tested the Dyna Beads today: at the ton for a solid 5 mins with not even the slightest vibration. I'm sold forever.
