Installed a Weld86 skid plate and relocater. I also put on some 3m clear bra stuff I got from the Tankslapper website. It was surprisingly a complete kit and very easy to install with great results. Now I wont feel guilty about riding the crap out of it.

Easier then you would think. I bought the "upgraded" yellow squeegee and watched a couple of videos. It is very forgiving stuff as long as you keep it wet. I would encourage anyone to put this stuff on themselves over paying someone. Took me an afternoon with breaks and taking my time.

Added ADVmonster auxiliary lights model 60, they are really nice! After trying them on a dark road it feels like the original KTM headlamp uses medieval candle inside

Maybe so, but I have 4 other bikes that need my love and affection too.

Changed the oil.

The old filter looked normal.

And there wasn't even a smidgen of corruption on the screens.

I forgot to pick up new crush washers for the drain plugs. No big deal because my dealer never seems to have one or the other of them in stock. Makes me wonder what they do when they change the oil on bikes that customers bring in.

Instead I just annealed the old ones with a propane torch.

In case anyone is curious.

Put in a new battery too. I don't even want to talk about how much that cost. I wasn't really sure I even needed it. I was using the original (2011) battery. It could've been my imagination, but lately the starter didn't seem to crank with as much vigor as it once did. I checked the voltage on the old battery and it was at about 12.6V, which I guess is getting close to borderline for a fully charged battery. The new battery shows about 13.2V. The bike does seem to crank better with the new one installed, but again that might be my imagination.

Cleaned and lubed the chain while I was at it. I normally use kerosene and motor oil for this but today I was out of kerosene, so I decided to try ATF instead.

The ATF actually did a pretty nice job. Got all the old gunk off easily and made the chain nice and shiny.

Ready to ride again.
