Anyway, as you can see above and behind the broken turn signal on the upper fairing the heavy gravel peeled some of the rubber paint away. The stock finish was abraded away in two relatively small places. The PlastiDip paint gave some good protection to areas where there was less gravel, but the upper fairing was buried about 4" into the drainage rock.

It washed right up and looks pretty good. I've yet to spot paint the area, but that'll be easy. Wear along the tank where my legs grip is just a 'dulling' of the the already matte finish. A little soap & water brought the finish back to a just-painted look. So far I'm happy with it, though I've already started thinking about a new theme for the Vampires MC annual Kilt ride this Dec.....Hmm... Tartan.....
Cool. Thanks for the update. I've only done some select areas on mine so far. This is good to hear about the durability, but sorry about dropping the bike. That sucks.

Tank filter. If you pull the tank cap there is a big flat rubber washer between the tank and the cap. There is no lip that drops into the tank to attach a filter :(

I did look around. You can buy a twin air tank filter on line and use it then pull it out or get the powercell tank cap with a filter

I went with the power cell neck, with the twin air filter. Its a nice setup, and I like eliminating the key lock. A little pricey but its worth it I think

The light is better than the original and it looks great!
