A good silicone should be good to stick them on. I used it for my carbon fibre guards on the tanks on my old 950.

I just used the best quality RTV caulk I could get my hands on and employed some miniature bungees to hold the pieces in place while the compound set up (regularly wiping away and excess as it oozed out). The engine covers have held successfully for around 4 years using this compound.

Yup.. they are Carbon Performance from the Czech Republic.
The stickers come in the bag.. they are not pre-applied so you can leave them off if you prefer

I looked for a place to find them in the US and couldn't find them anywhere.. so I bought them from carbon performance directly through e-bay - they had several listed with buy-it-now options.

I got them amazingly quick..

I ordered them late night April 19th/20th.
I sent CP an email on the 24th asking how long shipping usually takes to the USA. Roman responded immediately telling me they had shipped and it was usually 10-14 days.
My mailman had them at my door for a signature on the 28th.

8 days from the Czech Republic to Colorado
(and that was with the ash cloud grounding Europe's aircraft)



I'm going to check and see if they make a set for my Husqvarna.. it needs them badly.

It's weird every now and then I get a tinge of sadness about that bike.

C'mon Geek spill the beans! How much was them babies? I'm gonna check eBay to see I I can find them, what heading are they under? Because I've never seen them in the KTM Adventure heading. (and I'm always looking there )

they are under "KTM Carbon swingarm cover Superenduro / LC8 950/990" on ebay

Thanks - I originally bought the bike with good intentions and got one great trip out of it, but since then, as you can see, it's slowly being turned into somewhat of a garage queen. Anyway IIRC all the cf parts are from Carbon Performance. They do actually have a website and the link for the 950 parts is here:

.......although I don't believe their on-site purchasing system is any more automated than what you ran into using Ebay. The case guards were attached using RTV, while if I'm not mistaken, the tank guards just bolt on using existing mounting points. From what I remember from discussions floating about this forum at the time ('06), these guards were considered to be the best of the bunch in terms of protection and are a good deal thicker than the oem option.

Edit: FWIW there's a nice looking cf front fender listed under the 690 SMC/Duke page that'd probably look great on the 950.

May 1st, took carbs off Ian's SE, cleaned jets, adjusted mixture, put it all back together, found i had mixed the jets up because I was talking, eating melted cheese on toast, drinking a nice cup of British, I'll tell you something, it doesn't like having a tiny jet in the main!!!
so had to tear it all to pieces and do it again, but went out to make sure it's all sweet and it was, excellent!
