No...you can try the seafoam...but I think youll need the carb cleaning with a good solvent. Just my thoughts...

Seafoam tends to loosen the crud up and clog the tiny jets in motorcycle carbs. OK for V8's, not so much for bikes.
Guaranteed that the ethanol has done it's evil stuff, take off the carb and clean it. Get the bike good and hot after it's back together and change the oil too after sitting that long.
On the KLR you may be able to take out the choke cable, loosen the carb clamp and rotate the carb enough to get the float bowl off (don't try to rotate the carb with the plastic choke fitting installed, it will snap). From there you may be able to fiddle out the jets and clean stuff enough to get it running. Worth a try first.

Got it out this morning and ran some seafoam through it first. Let it run for about 15 minutes and it definitely improved. However, if I turn off the choke it still dies, so I guess I'm getting into the carb. Darn it, hoping I could take it out for a run today, but not comfortable with it acting flaky. I'm pretty sure I know where the tag is too, and I love it over there!

I used this trick the other day with success.

Remove the air filter and spray carb cleaner in the intake that way. With throttle opened and closed. I did it with bike not running. After a few applications and an overnight sit the problem went away on the DR650. I also added seafoam and stabil to fuel. In between applications I ran the bike.

Sounds like a plan. Funny thing though, I put the seafoam and left it running. I got preoccupied on something else and it ran out of gas...and I forgot to turn off the key, so now the battery is dead...shoot! Got it charging, so hopefully we'll get it going again tonight.

Sounds like your bike isn't getting enough fuel.

Check the floats. At the least, you need to clean all of your jets and check the float valve.

As for the tag, I think I know where it is but I need to get out and get it! Won't be till this weekend at best.
