640 case ?
Is there supposed to be a gasket between the case halves of a 2000 LC4? Wasn't one in my master gasket set.

really mine had 3; 2 were different thicknesses

yup, and remember that the gasket affects the measurement for the crank shims. to thin its too tight, too thick and the crank will be too loose in the bearings.
