Camping at Fall Creek Falls TN

I'm planing on camping at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee this Saturday and was wondering if any of you folks have any good information on the place. I've been wanting to go there for some time and I believe this weekend should be perfect. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'll be happy to have some company, so if anyone wants to go, please, feel free to come and hang out.

Really nice as far as state parks go. We used to take the RV there and use it as a base camp to explore the World's Longest Yardsale each year in August.

Ended up camped right in the middle of the Mrs. Lester Flatt family reunion one year. Treated us like family for 3 days and heard some of the finest bluegrass picking on the planet.

Great vistas and geographical features. Decent store and restaurant too.

Honcho and I did a Hwy 30 run last spring. Great road with lots of twisties.

Mrs. Flatt liked the gospel tunes. Good people.

One more, Lester's nephew.

I stayed there back in 1984 for 2 days. Lots of raccoons if I remember correctly. Had a good time there.

Thanks for the info guys. I had a really good time there this weekend. Man, there were a lot of people there, but I still managed to enjoy myself.

I got there around 3:00PM Saturday afternoon and set up camp.

Then I headed off into the woods with my camera to see what this park had to offer.

As I'm walking down the trail, the sound of running rolling water getting increasingly louder, I see this through the trees.

I really want to get a better look, but I've got to walk across this first.

After I cross the extremely swingy swinging bridge, I was able to get some good photos.

Cane Creek Cascade

This pic shows Cane Creek just before it goes over the falls.

Cane Creek Falls

After walking a few miles, a view from the other side.

I'm pretty sure my right-side mirror went over this waterfall some time Sunday evening. More on that later.

I've jumped the Cane Creek falls in my younger days. Missed a floating log by about four feet. Damn I miss being invincible...

Wow!

I've stopped by there before, but didn't spend a lot of time. I was with a group.

Why all the pictures of rocks and water when there were clearly cute girls?
