Prefer the 23-24 option. Any location is fine. Thanks

Also there may be issues doing this at Glen Helen due to their racing schedule. A possible alternative location is near Temecula. Hopefully Jimmy will get back to me with an update on Glen Helen soon.

Since I have no social life and live in OC, I am still open to any of these options.

I vote for 23 / 24
Halloween weekend may be difficult - I need to trick or treat for candies

Won't be soon enough for the class. Saw the shoulder Doc yesterday. Have to wait 2 more weeks for a bone bruise to heal, then schedule surgery which is probably another week, 1 - 4 weeks in a sling, and then 6 - 8 weeks rehab. So 10 weeks is the minimum and probably more.

dang.......

you'll be ready when the desert is prime for riding in the winter...

hi eric, since the 23/24 are the preferred dates and glen helen may not be available, would this interest others. school on the 23, then do an overnighter and explore the riding areas near temecula or san diego the next day. make a weekend out of it.

That sounds perfect

I'm in if it goes through. Give me couple more details and I'll be there.

I'm open to anything. I'm in OC so I'm closer to Temecula than most of you. However, it's still less than 2 hours from almost anywhere in LA/OC/R/SB/SD. My understanding is that there's not much dirt riding around Temecula. However, Ocotillo Wells is 1.5-3 hours away depending on how much fun, twisty pavement you want to take to get there. Like through Palomar Mountain. Ocotillo Wells has more than it's share of sand to practice in. It even has a sand wall. At worst, we could hit CNF which is only about 30 miles away. Pachanga Indian Casino is also in Temecula for those who like to gamble.

Let's say from this point on, that we are planning on the weekend of October 23/24. We will have to wait for Jimmy to get back with me for final location options.

bob, do you have a place to stay?

my only concern is we have to get a motel the night before. $ may be an issue to some.

also, i just realized that on the 23rd, there is this:

just remember that the 23 and 24 are not good days for me. sorry for plugging in....

Joel,
I'm trying to catch up with all your posts here. So, where would the class be on 23rd if glen helen is not available?

BJ
