My XOG GPS needs 1.5 amps, any chance of a higher output version in the future?

Yes.

The Droid takes any 5V input. Or rather, MY Droid has happily charged off any 5V input I've thrown at it.

I have the XOG and it works fine on the bike with it.

If you need a replacement USB charger email me your address and I'll send one to you. Please send the old one in so I can return it to the supplier.
Thanks - I'm gonna see if Apple will give me new cord. I have another one that seems ok - so maybe its worn both down to be within a tolerance. We'll see. Been too damn bust working to deal with any of this.
Cheers

*****Full disclosure, I did not buy this product from this vendor but had one that looks exactly the same.******

Anyway, for all you iphone 3GS users, I made my own pigtale using the USB socket and a powerlet socket. I charge my phone while the engine is running during a ride.

Here are some pictures showing the phone on charge using the socket and using the mother ship mac. I have opened a battery utility so you can see the charge rate. The first photo is on the bike and as you can see, the time remaining for a FULL CYCLE charge is 21:36:45 That obviously decreases rapidly as the charge completes.

This second photo is charging from my computer. As you can see, the app has determined that it will take the same amount of time to complete the charge as it did on the bike.

So I don't think anyone should have an issue with it. The package did state, no motorola. Here is my pigtale:

GPS installed and plugged in via USB cable

Works like a top! Now, all I have to do is learn how to draw tracks and routes using the software.

I don't understand how that works. Some things work, but others don't. I've got a battery charger mentioned earlier charging 2 batteries which doesn't, but than another charging 4 does. A current thing maybe?

SOme do, some don't

Even on my computer my Motorola needs drivers installed in order to charge. If not I get an "unauthorized charger" message.
