The old porsche ones were available in all mechanical (Needed tending) and some built like a shock with a strong spring... Rather than pressurized by the engine oil.. The other bit I just remembered is they sold some spacers that you installed to only alow the tensioners to collapse a small amount,, The 911 engine was prone to tossing the chain if the tensioner lost pressure, the spacer prevented 100% failure. It wasnt a prevailant problem, more like waht is seen on here,, the occasional bike is noisy..

A timely topic

The mechanic in the dealers said my real cylinder is running noisier than what it should be. I have no idea whether this is down to the CCT's or not.
Is there an easy way to tell ?

It sounds like it always has to me ? And if it is the CCT, will it do any damage ?

Anyone got any idea how much to replace in a dealership ? I have no idea what's involved but am not very mechanical.
