I'm in as well. CappyRidesAgain runs a pretty sweet shop and they have a lot of bike tools as well. A coastie needs to be there with you as its a .mil base but don't let that put you off to our island paradise as 90% of us are coasties here, there's one weirdo who rides a KLR but we let him hang out too since he's cool. Of course like Spicy said if you find yourself broken in Kodiak (on our freakin' amazing twisty and recently repaved roads, or off road if you're nuts) We nutty Coasties are willing to help out. PM any of us. If anyone's not willing to help feel free to smack me/push my bikes over. We're a small community but we look after our 2 wheeled friends.
Edit:
PM sent to Barb with contact info.

I've received lots of pm's with locations, numbers and what people have to offer. I was thinking of also putting this on my website-I have a travelers page with bike shops, etc. but don't want to compromise any privacy or security. If I put a button "click here if you are broke down or wanting to meet advriders" type thing and they can leave their cell phone number after hours or call the shop during open hours. Then we can steer them to the most appropriate person/place? That way the list and phone numbers won't be posted on the internet for all the weirdos to see. Okay, time for input. Thanks, Barb

I'm in.

Although, I don't know what I can offer other that a pick-up truck or a can of gas. Also, I work week on, week off so, for me, help is subject to me being on my week off. But, Eagle River's in the house!

I'm okay with publishing my contact info but use my online id instead of my real name.

Yep. We need a sticky at the top of the AK forum. Maybe type out phone #s, so the bots don't get them...

Yo Barb

Team Pterodactyl Canadian HQ pretty much has it all and would be fine to be included on your list. BTW, hold on to that seat, I hope I will find a ride for it to get here before D2D. It would likely take that long in the mail.

I think AKCharlie's one "good idea" ONLY came about because he's rightly concerned about his bike's reliability.

I'm in and can offer a place to stay and/or a meal. However, catching me at home is hard as I'm usually in the mountains or out riding when I'm not at work! I have a garage and mechanic tools (courtesy of my son) and I'm conveniently located right off the Glenn Hwy near Turpin.

Oops - I forgot to mention AKCharlie is handsome, distinguished, intelligent, humble and modest. (I still have to be respectful to the geezers as our Prudhoe Bay trip isn't far off and I don't want to get left behind somewhere or be used as bear bait.)

WRONG AGAIN I was thinking of the poor few DR's.

I want Blueberry bread with the meal.

Okay, working on the phone tree. Is everyone okay with telephone number, general area (Spenard, Muldoon, Chitna, etc.) and brief list of resources available? It'll be a sticky on the top of the Alaska forum. I will put something on my travelers page too. A few more days and it'll be ready to post. Thanks, Barb

We put an emergency number button on my website. Please take a look and see if is okay. Go to www.alaskaleather.com and click on travelers page (on the left side). Then click on the emergency button in the middle. Let me know if this is okay and then we'll make it a sticky on the Alaska forum here. Also let me know if you were left out. I think the only one I forgot is ..... Charlie! Thanks, Barb
