Question Noobie looking for friendly Dirt Roads in So Cal

Hey Everyone,

I just purchased an 02 R1150 GSA. Jennifer and I are having a blast cruising around on a few dirt roads we’ve found. It’s a whole new world of motorcycling for this former street-only rider!

My question to you is, will you give me some suggestions of dirt roads in the So Cal Area that as a new dirt rider I could handle on the GS? Pix would be appreciated as well.!

TIA,

Cheers,
Steve

Holy Jim/Trabuco Creek road down here in OC.

Rowher Flats is closer to you.

Hodge Road near Barstow has plenty of practice space and different conditions to play around in.

Lots of easy dirt roads around Big Bear, check out Holcomb Valley.

I'll def. check out Holcomb Valley and the Baldwin Lake area. It's a short ride from my place...

Thanks for the great information....it looks like tomorrow may be the only weekend day I've got to ride for the next three weeks. I think I'm going to ride out past Mojave towards the Poppy Reserve and see if I can find some easy dirt roads!

Cheers,
Steve
