Hot Springs

I did not see anything about a place in Hot Springs called McClard's BBQ. Its an old gas station and man, is it good. They have this plate called "The Spread". Its a hot tamale on the bottom, with the following piled on top: fritos, beans, chopped beef, Onions, and Cheese. Man, that thing is a BOMB! Ya'll gotta try it.

Can't wait to get back up there and get some more of it!

We hopped on the trusty old Sport 1100 at about 11:30 and 68 miles, and about an hour later, we arrived at Low Gap.

They were having a buffet, and man! It was something! Steak & Mushrooms, fish, pasta salad, mashed potatoes, rice, bisquits. All good!

Talked to the owners for a bit after dinner. They mentioned they have music on Saturday Nights. The hillbilly kind, just like we like! We'll be going back soon!

I wish I had seen this earlier. We went by there last Saturday. We ate at Granny's in Huntsville - would have waited...

The Rail

Am a bit surprised no one has mentioned 'The Rail' in downtown Rogers. Great Pork Shanks (Pig Wings). Beer Specials whenever a train goes by (you listening Mouth?). Great pizza and wings (I love the plain with my own dose of Louisiana Hot) .
And it's neighbors are 'The Frisco Club' - a great speakeasy. And "Iron Horse Coffee' - much java.

Whatever your mood that corner can fill it.

Well, it is a RIDE TO EAT thread. Who wants to ride to Rogers?

Unfortunately they are CLOSED. They packed-up there mud-bugs and went back to LA. :(
Rumor has it, that when the Materfamilias died, they went back to LA to take care of the estate.

We now have an exquisite, tastefully appointed fine dining establishment north of Dover. Note the orange on white color scheme. Located on the corner of Hwy 7 and Hwy 164. Reservations recommended but not required. I believe KTM riders get a 10% discount.

Bon appetit!

That just my high education Yankee spin on it. Personally I question the authenticity of the Bean Shack. They pretty much spelled everything correctly on their sign so that makes 'em suspect. The punctuation is broke so there may be some hope for true hill folk vittles in there. Maybe some road kill lingo would be a plus.
