it's about time this happens here
the rules;
1. must be a legal off pavement riding area.
2.you must get a pic of your bike at the head of the trail and at what you think is the biggest obstacle.
3. reasonable directions, address and or gps coordinates should be provided. Also an idea of the difficulty of the riding to get the tag.
4. no file photos.
5. all of maine is in play.
6. The VFR870 rule is in effect (bike must arive at the tag under it's own power
7. 72 hours to post new tag, if time elapses, old tag is in play again

so this is on the end of the nelson road in chelsea but you've got to go through pittston to get there, the mud holes are a little deep but passable


turn left here and the trail leads to tinkam pond, sweet spot!!!

hahaha! no there just wasn't level enough land handy to put it on the side stand, it was up against the tree, but it slipped down before i could snap the pic

Well- I went and checked-out Hauler's tag out in chelsea ^ and it was actually pretty sweet

There are some sections where it's twisty and technical and also some hi speed sections if you wanna' get on the throttle. A great selection of terrain. There may be other stuff to be explored (connected to the trail I was on)

This proves I was there

(weapon of choice was my trusty little 610 )

New tag posted within x hours (72?), or the old tag is still in play... Maybe longer would be appropriate for the dirt game. Little bikes don't eat miles like street bikes do.

This is my favorite new spot for this spring- and it's Hoppin'

No, there aren't other riders on the trail to get in your way, but there are plenty of rocks to jump over. Don't like that sort of thing? just go around 'em, it's not too difficult. There's only a small sample of mud but you can go right for it if you're into that sort of thing

GET THERE!
In Augusta, go to where route 3 crosses the Kennebec river. Go EAST on Rt. 3. Pass under one set of power lines. They will follow you on the LH side. They will cross your road again. When they do, follow them (like I did ) If you don't like where they come-out then just ride the trail back to rt. 3

These trails offer typical pole-line terrain but they aren't as horrendous as I had expected (no "last-man-standing" type of obstacles)



Lmk how you like them and then try to challenge me with a new spot

that seems reasonable, 72 hours? 4 days? seems plenty long enough to me. Any objections?

No objections here. I expect this'll run a bit longer between tags.

Hmmmm that 610 ain't much smaller than a 950.... Maybe I'll mount the new knob tomorrow and go see.

dude! i know that place! you were just minutes from my place! ya shoulda stopped in! i sure hope tomorrow is a rainy day as much as today and sunday was! or what ever it's less then five miles, even if it's pouring! that tag is mine! hahahaha watch me get bruced now!
