I am looking at getting a Goldwing. Anyway to pair the Sena up with the audio on the Wing?

SMH5 vs. SMH10

Ok ... I'm confused ...
Can someone give me a brief rundown on the differences between the SMH-10 we know and love vs. the new SMH-5?

TIA!

Depends on whether you have the factory CB or not. Today, it's takes a bunch of disparate items to make it all work. Sena is releasing, soon, hopefully, the SM-10 dual Bluetooth transmitter. Bike audio in one end, and that will transmit to two headsets.

This Bluetooth adapter is a one-way setup - no provision to get Headset mic audio in to the bike, so the CB isn't ideal.

There other options that we can chat about offline, if you'd like.

Since I am not a trucker, I will not be getting the CB.

Thanks. After posting here I was poking around some more and found the SM-10 http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...oms/sena-sm10/ It looks like that will be the ticket. Just get the adapter to go from the DIN 5 pin Goldwing cable to the SM-10 and it should feed all the GW audio to the Sena.

Have a multi pairing need and hoping that the Sena can solve.

I currently have an older Midland BT unit that works fairly well. I pair my Garmin Nuvi to it for directions and music, then pair my Android phone for phone functions only. The issue is when my wife rides with me. We pair our Midland units and keep an open mic because the Vox function sucks. With this I can still pair my phone to my headset for phone functions but I cannot pair the Garmin Nuvi for directions.

What I need
Pair both headsets together for communication. Either as an open mic (best) or simple button click (assuming the jog dial makes this easy). Pair the Garmin for directions, and pair the Android for phone functions.

Best would be to get music in the mix but that is not a requirement.

Note - I hate wires, so looking to do this fully via BT.

So, can it be done?

I'm pretty sure the Sena will do this. I have had mine on open mic for several multiple-hour rides without a recharge. My phone pairs up for phone and music, but I don't have a separate GPS unit, but the manual talks about it, so it should do it. it won't do open mic with music in the background, but it does know to pause the tunes while you're talking though.

Compliment

Just wanted to mention how awesome the customer service experience was. I had been e-mailing back and forth and all of my questions were answered quickly. I place an order this past Monday and the package was in FedEx'a possession within 2 hours of ordering and in my hand by Wednesday afternoon. Very quick, efficient and painless process.

I have not had the opportunity to try it out on the bike, as I am currently between motorcycles. (sold one, fly/ride scheduled in 2 weeks)
