The Wassell in the picture is in place of the original Bul-tank, which -YES- to Goat, it is the neat looking tank with the tool kit on top. I used to have a Frontera and a few Pursangs, and by chance happened to keep a few of the spares around long after sending the bikes down the road.
IMO-if you're going to run a fibreglass tank, a back up tank is a real good idea. Now regarding the Wassell-where can I get my hands on one of those? I can rock the Sherpa T that much harder if I don't have to worry about smashing the glass. .....which is perhaps how the Wassell in the picture found it's way onto the backbone of the Frontera pictured.... |

Keep an eye on ebay. They do come along every once in a while. The cub tank isn't the same as a Wassell, but close. I would be willing to bet the BMW tank is a Wassell.

Yep Wassel tank with typical Brit mount. They look great but get lumpy pretty easy. Not cheap & old ones tend to get leaks.
Speakin of tool bags... I bought a Matador ISDT new is '72... looked like this: ![]() wish I had it back I assume everyone knows about Hugh's Bultaco... he's got everything. |
