Seat rebuild

I was looking for a link to a guy who rebuilds seats, basically, he uses your seat pan and seat cover and swaps out the foam for some different types of medical foam. I need to send it to my buddy who rides a ktm990. We did a five hour ride and he looked to be in pain after the first hour.

Try some sheepskin first. It works and costs less. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70026822/

I think you're looking for Spencer.

This is what I was looking for. We were at Barber for vintage days and every KTM990 had either a sheepskin, beads or were custom. My buddy had the only stock KTM seat at the park. My 1150GS came with a Bill Maier and fits me pretty well.

If you want to retain the stock pan and cover, why not give it a go yourself? Shaping seat foam is not hard with the right tools (an electric turkey knife works great), and it doesn't need to be terribly precise. The hard part of making a custom seat (in my opinion) is making the seat cover, but if you want to keep the stock shape, I would take a shot at it, personally.

for that toy ... Probably Seat concepts for the foam .. .I think they even sell the parts or can cover it for you.
http://seatconcepts.com/products#ecw...=0&sort=normal for the KTM stuff.

Spencer, after countless contacts, (he was sorting out BMW pans that he had a hard time with) did my R1150 Adventure seat. 100 bucks and shipping (and a new cover from ebay) And I'm VERY pleased. Look and fit and finish as well as seat comfort is great. Not a Russell Day Long but It's all day comfortable.

I can vouch that XPC does great work. They reworked the stock seats on my R1200GS. The best thing I can say about the finished seat is that I never think about it! Before XPC, I tried Sargent and Bill Mayer. Neither one worked as well for me. XPC's prices are very competitive, too.
