Im thinking PR3s too. Running PR2s right now with 6k on them. Front is cupped, but suprisingly rides fine. Going to try to get another 1k out of them. Tried PR3s on a demo a few weeks back and was really impressed with the improvements over the PR2s.

Were you able to pull anyone over?
Track days are good fun and, in my opinion, money well spent.
You need a S1000RR now. They have a greater lean angle than the RT.

OK all you RT guys.

Anyone here been successful cleaning the road grunge off of the stainless exhaust on the RT and returning it to a shiny surface?

Interesting question, I'm in on this one having the same problem Exhaust looks like shit.
Tried to polish it up with normal chrome polisher, result not satisfying...
I've been recommended to try blue job, don't know if that'll do the job.

Acetone or methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) will get a lot of crud off pipes and muffler, then some polish compound to finish it. Use both outside and use heavy rubber gloves to protect your skin, and stay away from open flames or smokers.

Personally, I am not that worried about polishing anything on the RT. It's not a Harley.

Anyone tried Barkeeper's Friend stainless cookware cleaner (http://cow.org/r/9j0)?

It does a pretty good job on my pans, and they must have a harder life than my RT's muffler…

On my 2nd set of PR3's here

I run 40 up front and 42 in the rear 100% of the time regardless of two up or not.

1st set mileage was 15,500 miles; no cupping just Excellent overall performance in All Conditions; 2nd set about 9,400 miles so far and getting the Exact results and looking for similar mileage again

Help With R1200RT Fork Rebuild

any help with this problem would be appreciated, my 2005 1200rt has 55,000 miles and has developed a woble at 30-45mph if i take my hands off the bars, ive checked wheel balance and the steering head is tight. Local dealer advised that there are bushings inside the forks that can wear and cause this problem. Ive checked rep rom and get no info on how to dissasemble the forks. Has anyone done this type work on their forks ? or point me in the direction of tutorials. any help would be appreciated.

That's great mileage.

Anybody have them on now ?
Love my PR3 rear, did 400 miles yesterday with not an issue I run the rear about 37-38 cold PSI.

I run the Pilot Power 2CT up front though.
