The next day dawned beautiful and sunny and we were off and riding towards Latrabjarg.

There were beautiful sights everywhere...

It seemed that at every corner there was more beauty.

Always an adventure wherever you 2 guys go. Stunningly beautiful country and sounds like very friendly people. Looking forward to more. Looks like you're right in the center of the island tonight according to SPOT tracker. I would have liked to have seen you in your "Racer Crouch". Too bad Kim didn't get a shot of you. LOL!

We quickly pulled off to see if everyone was OK and found that the car was abandoned.

As you can see, there was no blood inside so it looked like whoever was driving was OK. But the scene was still very fresh. If you look at this pic...

you can still see the two "skid marks" the car made before it flipped (look just beyond the nose of the car, you'll see them). Thank goodness that the car rolled to the right and not to the left. It was about 30 feet down to the ocean where the car stopped.

Anyway, we were glad that whoever was in the car made it out OK and we were back on our way.

We got back on some pavement for a while and rounded a bend opening to a vast valley. Lo, this came into view...

The sign telling its story was only in Icelandic, so I can't tell you about it for now. I'll try some translating later.
